India recently joined VOLLMER as Vice President of its Houston office, bringing 14 years experience to VOLLMER in creating and implementing strategic public relations and marketing campaigns in corporate and agency settings. She offers an extensive background in various public relations service areas including media relations, employee communications, issues management, advocacy and public affairs, special event planning, and executive positioning.
India leads VOLLMER’s healthcare and consumer/retail practice, and provides strategic guidance on numerous accounts including CHRISTUS Health, NightRays, DePelchin, French Quarter Hospitality, Hotel ICON, and Francesca’s.
Respected for her ability to provide strategic counsel during times of transition, India has played a key role in helping organizations manage communication issues associated with mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, crisis communications and other significant events. With eight years of marketing, public relations, and corporate communications experience with CHRISTUS Health, India has a keen perspective on the intricacies and major issues found in today’s healthcare environment.

Prior to entering the healthcare arena, India worked for public relations boutiques in Houston and Fort Worth on consumer retail accounts, hospitality, and food/beverage including J.C. Penney, Bassett Furniture Direct, Logan Farms Honey Glazed Hams and Market Cafe, and The Fairmont Hotels. She also has experience in the publishing industry working for Taylor Publishing Company’s trade books division where she handled national book tours and media relations for a variety of books.

Prior to working in public relations, India worked for Saks Fifth Avenue and Marshall Fields. India holds a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Texas Christian University. She is married with three children.
