TONY M. SHELTON, ABC, APR
President, Shelton & Caudle, Inc.

As president of Shelton & Caudle, the communication training and crisis counsel division of VOLLMER, Tony Shelton brings 20 years of experience in corporate public affairs and training to the task of advising clients in how to deal effectively with the news media, activist and community groups, and elected officials. He specializes in preparing executives to deal with investigative reporters, angry neighbors and protesters on tough issues.

Prior to the establishment of Shelton & Caudle, Tony was public affairs manager for Tenneco Gas, one of the most extensive natural gas pipeline networks in the world. In that capacity, he led the development and implementation of the company’s first crisis communication process. His experience also includes public relations service with Exxon Company, U.S.A.

Tony is a trained mediator and an accredited member of both the International Association of Business Communicators and the Public Relations Society of America. He also is a member of the PRSA Counselor’s Academy. He holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri at Columbia.
